In its twelfth year, the Heartland Summer Vocal Camp is designed to help teachers and students develop their understanding of and skills in pop and jazz vocal styles.  Programs are open to all high school and college students and teachers, regardless of experience level. Participants have ranged from high school freshmen to graduate students, and novices to professional performers and college professors.

Graduate and undergraduate college credit is available to participants for an additional Tiffin University tuition fee.

We are proud to welcome two new guest artist-in-residence…  Reginald Bowens, bass vocalist for the acclaimed a cappella jazz group Afro Blue, featured on NBC’s The Sing-Off…  and the New York City soul singer, songwriter and recording artist Jeanette Berry.  The faculty also features outstanding vocal educators, including: Justin Binek, Assistant Professor of Vocal Jazz at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia; Brad Rees, Director of Musical Arts at Tiffin University; Chris Venesile, Kent State University music education professor and director of the acclaimed vocal group Special Edition; and Christine Knific of the Toxic Audio Las Vegas cast.  Members of the award-winning a cappella group Up in the Air will also serve as camp faculty and staff.
